Today is a continuation of what you learned yesterday.

STEP 3 – Traffic

TRAFFIC = PUT YOURSELF INFRONT OF PEOPLE
Remember, everything is connected. Be it word of mouth, making an online Radio Show (yes this is easy and free to do) or making a video on YouTube. There are so many ways to get traffic it’s making me think twice about typing it! The important thing is always point it back to the site you are promoting.

Now let’s start with today’s lesson. I don’t want you to do anything for now, I just want you to understand what I am talking about because this is going to be long and confusing if you are a beginner online. Don’t get intimidated. Read and understand first and then take action.

Starting Your Website:
You have two options:

1. Free
2. Or not Free = You = Pay!

Pick one from this two.

Which one will you choose?
The first one looks more professional right? Exactly. You are suddenly more credible!

Site Options: (Considering you decided not to sell your own products YET)

1. Start a blog with lots of information
2. Start a minisite with two pages. An opt in page and a thank you page where you sell stuff or build up a product for your follow up on the email.

I will posting a full STEP BY STEP tutorial on creating a website on the YLD site.

Now that you have your site, START PROMOTING IT!

It is usually a great idea to give someone something in return for their email address. You can make a video about your niche, a free ebook, ecourse and the likes. This increases your conversions.

Here is an example plan that I want you to follow:

1. Create 3-10 articles. Make sure they are unique!
2. Submit 1 main article to article directories (Ezinearticles, Articledashboard) and make sure your articles have a link back to your site
3. Submit your link to link directories and RSS directories
4. Create a free blog that will link back to your site (I will explain why later)
5. Promote to SocialMarker.com
6. Promote on Twitter, Social Networks like Facebook and YouTube.

You see where I am getting at? The more back links (links leading back to your site) you have, the higher you will rank in Google and we want to be in the Top 10 all the time. It is also important to note that Google rates backinks too. If you have a link coming from a very reputable site, then you are already important to Google’s eyes! Since you will be at the front page of Google, you will also get more traffic which is what you need. The more targeted traffic, the better your results.

Another way to be on the front page fast is by Google Adwords, but that is harder and you WILL lose money if you don’t know what you are doing.

SEO? Well, search engine optimization is another story. You have to wait for that because that’s a pretty big topic.
Do you see it now?

• Send traffic to your site from all these different sources
• Capture their email
• Maximize conversion (3% is the optimal rate, that’s like 30 per 1000 people that visit) Tweaking your sales page will be a major factor. Track it and tweak. Don’t worry about it for now, I will be teaching you that too.
• Your autoresponder sends them follow ups
• They buy!
• You get paid!

That’s just with selling stuff. To truly earn online, YOU NEED INCOME FROM DIFFERENT SOURCES! Remember that and you will be successful…and don’t forget to remember me when you finally realize that it is true!

Oh, I will be telling you about the ways you can earn money with your website, because that is probably the most common thing in your mind and that’s probably the main thing that is stopping you from taking action…look forward to it in two days.

BTW, all the methods I’m teaching now is applicable for everyone. Don’t think that since you don’t have those BIG TIME JV (Joint Venture) partners, you cannot succeed. It doesn’t hurt if you know them and they help you promote your stuff but for now, since you are just beginning, I want you to focus on building this business yourself. You will eventually be able to meet these guys and probably do business with them soon.
